I no longer can deny the fact that I am a book nerd, a bibliophile, a book worm or whatever you wish to call it. It is what it is and I am SO guilty of being all of those things. I can’t imagine a life without books, it just seems way too bleak. So I thought I’d do a post honoring all the other bibliophiles out there.

Here are 8 signs that you’re a book nerd for sure!

You always carry a book with you regardless of where you’re going.

Hey, so what if you’re going to a wedding, a party or even a date? You never know when you might just have a moment to get through another chapter. And no, you’re not being anti-social, you’re just busy. lels

20151223_134740.jpgYou have a Bookstagram account.

You spend more time trying to take the perfect shelfie than you do taking selfies. Your photos have to be aesthetically pleasing, and you don’t care if anyone stares at you while taking pic of a book on the beach.

You spend hours on Booktube.

Geez, Booktube is a dangerous place for bibliophiles. I often find myself wanting to watch just one video and ending up watching countless book reviews and book hauls and losing so much reading time. Oops.

20160110_150701.jpgYou spend most of your salary on books.

Who needs food and any other basic necessities? You’ll survive on the bare minimum… The lies we tell ourselves just so that we don’t feel too guilty about buying more books…

Your TBR pile is way bigger than your read pile. And it keeps growing.

Because of your book buying addiction, no matter how many books you read your TBR list doesn’t ever get smaller. #bookwormproblems

You have piles of books on every surface.

You can never have too many books and therefore never too much shelf space. In fact, at this very moment you probably have books crammed into every little corner and on every surface. You probably find yourself daydreaming about having sufficient shelf space, I know I do.

Mourning after finishing a series.

Finishing a series that you have come to love is one of the hardest things to do. You find yourself mourning and griefing long after you’ve closed the book and wish you could read it all again for the first time.

Finding another bibliophile gets you way too excited.

Lets face it, finding like-minded people is difficult. My family have learnt to deal with my bookish talk. At most they just nod and agree at appropriate moments, and that’s only if they’re in the mood to tolerate me. So when I meet other bibliophiles it is just too hard to contain my excitement.

So much love for this post! I definitely carry a book around at all times whether it’s on my tablet or a physical book – my family don’t understand. I have a dormant Instagram account, I’ve not used it at all. I’m not too confident with it yet. I don’t actually spend time on Booktube though. Mainly because I prefer reading reviews and I can’t watch them sneakily at work. And, of course, my TBR is massive and I just keep buying books so they’re everywhere. I always mourn a series afterwards and it doesn’t even matter how much I liked it either. Unfortunately, I don’t know any book lovers IRL so of course I always get super excited when I meet one.

EVERY. SINGLE. ONE OF THESE. :))) This was lovely, thanks! Maybe it’s not so surprising that my friends tease me about my love of books?

Haha! I competely understand. I am lucky enough to have found other book lover through my blog, Instagram and in my class at uni. Although, the other friends still look at me like I’m an alien when I start the bookish talk! Lol
