100_3580I am an English Literature and Film Studies post-graduate born and bred in South Africa.

I spent my teenage years playing guitar and bass in a couple of alternative band but have always wanted to become a writer. I enjoy both reading and writing speculative fiction – that is everything from YA Science Fiction to Urban Fantasy, High Fantasy, and all its sub-genres.

You’ll often find me on social media talking about writing when I should be writing, or posting pictures of Thor, Loki and Monster (my cats) and my nephew who thinks he’s a ninja turtle. The rest of the time I’m most likely reading YA fiction or staring at a computer screen thinking about that chapter that I was supposed to write last week while on Pinterest or Tumblr doing ‘research’ but really pinning inspirational quotes and sharing cat memes.

I have a special place in my heart for South African alternative music as well as South African authors and I try my best to show my support in these communities.

One day, when I’m all grown up, I will lecture English at one of Cape Town’s universities.

Thanks you so much. That just makes me blush. I can’t believe people actually read my ramblings and stuff. It makes me so warm and fuzzy inside everytime someone comments. 😀

I am Robyn, the Digital Marketing Manager for Five Roses and Freshpak. I’ve been excited to explore the pairing of a good cup of a tea and a good book for a while now. From April, we’d like to pair up with book bloggers who would be willing to include our teas in their book reviews (it doesn’t even have to be in the actual content, it can be in the photography). Would you be at all interested in such a collaboration? With cold months coming, I can’t imagine a better pairing!

I look forward to hopefully hearing from you 
