Recently Goodreads added a feature that allows for rereads! Quite honestly, I am super stoked. Previously, the books I reread through the year didn’t count toward the Goodreads Reading Challenge, which completely sucked. So now I can reread some of my favourites before the next book in the series is released and they’ll actually help with the challenge! Yaaaaas! These are some of the books I plan on rereading soon.
I read Rebel of the Sands last year when it was first released and instantly fell in love with the world and the characters. I loved the way it blended middle-eastern mythology with western tropes. The sequel Traitor to the Throne is being released in the US today and I am patiently waiting for my copy to arrive from Raru. I have to reread Rebel of the Sands before then, just so that it is fresh in my mind when the sequel is delivered.
I read Truthwitch last year while I was researching and writing my thesis. At the time I don’t think I truly had the chance to get into it because my focus was divided and I ended up not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. Now that Windwitch has been released I really just want to give this novel a second try. I’m hoping now that I can actually spend some time to get into it, I will enjoy it a lot more.
Days of Blood and Starlight and Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor
I must have read and reread Daughter of Smoke and Bone a million times last year… I think it has been long enough for me to finally pick up this trilogy and read it for enjoyment. Plus, I need to indulge in some of Laini Taylor’s work before Strange, the Dreamer is release. Finally, another Laini Taylor novel!
I just finished A Court of Mist and Fury and absolutely LOVED it! I wasn’t much of a fan of ACOTAR but now that I’ve read the sequel I think I need to read ACOTAR again. This trilogy will conclude in May and I really hope that it will live up to the hype.
