I have decided that for the month of November I’m going to stick to doing ROW80 check ins once a week. NaNoWriMo is taking up most of my free time and also life happens, this last week did quite a good job at reminding me just that.

It’s been a rather stressful week. Nanowrimo has started so each day after work has been dedicated to trying to reach my daily word count. It went well for the first few days, I knew exactly where I wanted to begin and the words kind of just flowed but then Wednesday threw a couple of hurdles my way. My mom got ill and was admitted to hospital. Having lost my father in 2011 I kind of went into panic mode and couldn’t really focus on reaching the daily word count. Mom’s ok, she ended up coming home on Friday and I took her out for coffee today because we just needed to get out. I will say that I am proud of myself for not stopping my writing completely, I continued writing everyday. I’ve reached 9635 words this week and I plan on writing until I fall asleep tonight.

So this weeks goals are simple. Reach my daily word count for NaNoWriMo, maybe write a blog post about my NaNoWriMo progress, and doing my ROW80 sponsor duties.

How has everyone else week been? Anyone else doing NaNoWriMo?

good. I have to try to balance NaNo with studying which is really difficult so there are days when I don’t get to write

I’m so sorry about your mom, but glad she’s okay! You did well regardless. 🙂

Good job with words this week despite life getting in the way. And glad you’re mom is doing OK and is out of the hospital.
