It is October book haul time! I have so many books to show you guys, it was a good book buying month. But it is also the 1st of November, which means it is NaNoWriMo and I need to start writing… I feel so tremendously unprepared, even though I have been planning and outlining scenes.

October Book Haul

So despite the fact that I have so many books to haul I’m going to try and keep it short and sweet. Many of the books I’m hauling today have been mentioned in previous blog posts or  on social media because I tend to post pics of new books when I buy them.

At the end of September I placed quite a big order from Reader’s Warehouse. I bought the first three books in the Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas, as well the first novel of her new series, A Court of Thorns and Roses. wpid-img_20151002_150417.jpgTo my surprise ACOTAR happened to be a signed copy. How awesome is that? So far I have read Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight. I have also started Heir of Fire but since NaNoWriMo has started I am not too sure whether I’ll manage to get through it during November.

I happened to pick up that order from the bookstore and while I was there I ended up buying more books…

October Book PileI finally decided to jump on the Shadowhunter train and bought the first novel in the Infernal
Devices trilogy. I have started reading it and was enjoying it, but I ended up getting distracted by TOG and I’ll probably only get back to it in late November or early December.

I also got The Knife of Never Letting Go bywpid-img_20150929_215557.jpg Patrick Ness, Last of the Wilds by Trudi Canavan and a Wheel of Time novel for my sister.

I picked up quite a bit from the second hand book store. Last month I scored A Game of Thrones from my sister so when I found book 2 and 4 at the thrift store I just had to buy it. I also picked up Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman, Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr and Tempted by P.C and Kristin Cast (though I don’t think I’m going to continue this series).

A couple of days later a package arrived with a beautiful hardcover copy of The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima. I had ordered this one with the previous Reader’s Warehouse order but they had to transfer it from one of the store so it arrived a week or so later than the rest of the order.

Sometime towards the end of October I had the urge to buy more book so I decided to order a couple of more books from Reader’s Warehouse. All of these books were ridiculously cheap so I didn’t feel too bad about buying more books.

I bought Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan – I immediately starting reading it and finished it rather quickly. I got If I Stay by Gayle Forman, Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness and Poison Study by Maria V. Synder.

And that wraps up my book buying for October, I did buy a couple of books in the last few days but I’ll haul them at the end of November. That is a total of 17 books… That is more than last month. Oops.

Poison Study, The Knife of Never Letting Go, the Throne of Glass series and The Infernal Devices Series are all really great reads. I loved each of them when I read them, but I haven’t read Court of Thorns yet so I’d be interested to hear what it’s like when you do.

I’m absolutely loving Sarah J Maas’s books too. Every one says The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness is good. I hope it lives up to the hype.
