So my September book haul was huge… 14 books and I kind of bought like 13 more since then. It is becoming ridiculous. Every time I see a bookstore I have to stop myself from going in because I know that once I’m in the store there is no way I am coming out empty handed.

So I have decided that I have to finish 5 books before I can buy anymore. I was inspired to take this approach by a booktuber,  but I am not sure which booktuber it was… So if it sounds like it might be you, then let me know in the comment section below.

The first book on my TBR is Insurgent by Veronica Roth.  I actually started reading this book last month, but it got spoilt for me cos someone posted a spoiler without a warning. So much sadness… And then I got distracted by Throne of Glass – which I finished last night. (OMG!!! Feels!) Anyway, I actually want to try and finish Insurgent before Wednesday since I’m already 2/3 in.

The next book I really want to read is Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. It is the first book in the Infernal Devices Trilogy, which I understand is the prequel series to Mortal Instruments. I couldn’t get into the Mortal Instruments series, but I was told that I should read the prequel first because it’ll help ease me into the world. I completely blame the movie for my preconceived perception of the Mortal Instruments and yes I know that is not fair so that is why I am going to give this series a fair chance. And so many people fangirl over it. I wanna fangirl too!

I also want to start the Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness. Last month I picked up the second novel of the series at a second-hand bookstore so naturally when I can across The Knife of Never Letting Go at Reader’s Warehouse I had to get it. I’ve only heard good things about this series so I’m quite excited.

And the last book I’m hoping to get to this month is Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas. Notice how I’ve spaced the Throne of Glass books out? I want to make this series last as long as possible!

That’s it for my October TBR.  Not too ambitious is it? Maybe… Yes, I know its only 4 books but I have a day job plus I’ve got my ROW80 goals and its NaNoPrep month.

As usual, way too much on my plate but I’ll survive. I hope…

I have the same problem with going into a bookstore and trying to not buy every book. It’s so difficult! Great TBR list 🙂
