October wasn’t exacting one of the best reading months for me. I read a totally of four books, but given the fact that I work 9-5 and I focused a lot of my energy on reviewing books I’d already read and prepping for NaNoWriMo, I am rather proud of the four books I manage to read.

Insurgent coverThe first book I finished was Insurgent by Veronica Roth. I definitely enjoy this book more than the movie, although, personally it was a difficult read. If you’d like to know why, I wrote a more detail review about Insurgent and you can read it here.

The second book I finished was Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass. I am absolutely loving this series and I think every fantasy lover should read it. You can read my review on Throne of Glass here.

Immediately after finishing Throne of Glass I picked up the second book in the series, Crown of Midnight. And OMG, it was amazing. Hopefully, I’ll be posting a detailed review soon. (If I reach the 10 000 word count for NaNoWriMo by the end of the week)

Nick and Norah's Infinite PlaylistAnd lastly I read Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. I actually read this while I was reading Throne of Glass. It is a relatively short novel and can be read in one sitting. I absolutely loved it. It made me super nostalgic for my gigging days, back when I used to play bass in an alternative post-rock band. I’ll be posting a review sometime in the month.

This month’s TBR consists of one book because it NaNoWriMo and I don’t want to get distracted Hopefully I’ll actually get around to finishing Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas.

That’s it for today’s post.

I hope you reach your 10000 word count already, or possibly more! Goodluck! 🙂

I’m only on 7347 right now. Hoping to get to at least 8500 by the end of tonight. You know how life tends to happening and laugh at your plans? Yeah… thats what happened yesterday so I fell back. :'( How are you doing?

That’s okay! You can do it. 🙂 I wish I can find the motivation to write too. I tried to write something once, and I think I only had 300 words and then I stopped.

The trick is just to continue writing everyday. Even if it is just 300 words here and there. I understand, inspiration os hard to come by sometimes.
